Fancy having a go at the latest adrenaline surging fix of fun? Sphering (also known as Zorb when using the official Zorb products) is the art of strapping yourself inside a large inflatable ball and being rolled head over heels down a big hill. The Sphere (Zorb) is a gigantic inflatable pvc ball standing about three metres in height, which contains another smaller ball that is suspended into position by thousand nylon strands of varying colours. You can choose between a harness (strapped in) or hydro (sloshing about in water) Zorb experience and both are fantastically good fun.

Originating in New Zealand, Zorbing and Sphering has spread worldwide. You can find places to go Zorbing in Dorchester, Dorset, and Brighton in England. Europe has places to go Sphering in Norway, Switzerland and Sweden. The Gold Coast in Australia has a great place to go Sphering, as do China, Argentina and also India.
For Zorbing in the USA, you can go to Michigan. The Mt. Brighton Ski Area used its grassy hill in summer 2006.
Based between Swanage and Corfe Castle, Zorb South UK was set up by Paul Knight in 2000. The site has the longest man made Zorb run in the UK and offers zorbing for corporate days out and parties.
Once you’re in the fun really starts as the Zorb is launched down a hill and reaches speeds of up to 50km per hour, while you roll and bounce around inside. The clever bit is that there is an air cushion of two feet between the you and the ground, so you are completely safe!
You can choose between a harness (strapped in) or hydro (sloshing about in water) Zorb experience and both are fantastically good fun – the squeals of laughter coming from the zorbs as they rolled down the hill was guaranteed and everyone comes out with an enormous grin on their faces.
At Orb360 on the outskirts of Brighton, they have the longest run in the UK (half mile). Set atop Devils Dyke on the South Downs you will enjoy amazing views across Sussex, Brighton and the Sea.
