BASE Jumping

Air Activities

BASE Jumping is where you jump off a cliff or structure at low level and open your parachute at the latest possible moment. Seriously extreme and seriously dangerous, with a high chance of injury or death.

Skills - Strength: 4, Balance: 4, Flexibility: 3, Agility: 2, Coordination: 4
Time needed: travelling time + 1 hour, Cost to try: £1000+ for all of your own kit.

We do not recommend you to try this. It is a highly dangerous extreme sport, and many have died doing it.

B.A.S.E. jumping, also sometimes written as BASE jumping, is an activity that employs an initially packed parachute to jump from fixed objects, (else see paragliding). "B.A.S.E." is a bacronym that stands for four categories of fixed objects from which one can jump: buildings, antennas, spans (bridge), and earth (cliff).

BASE jumping is significantly more dangerous than similar sports such as skydiving from aircraft, and is currently regarded by many as a fringe extreme sport or stunt.
