Mark Cavendish Named as BBC Sports Personality of 2001
Cycling is once again in the news as Mark Cavendish is named by the BBC as Sports Personality of the Year. Briatain's world road race champion Mark Cavendish won this title, doing British cyclying proud. Winning the green jersey awarded to the Tour de France race's best sprinter, Cavendish won five stages of this year's Tour de France. He also won gold at the World Championships in Copenhagen in September.
Well done Mark, and may 2012 be a great year for everyone who goes cycling. If you don't cycle, get on a bike in the new year.
