The Times newspaper published an article this weekend about what David Cameron does in his spare time. Here are a few things that the leaders of some of the countries in the world do outdoors.
I wrote to the Cabinet Office to ask if David Cameron would be able to inspire British youth to spend time doing outdoor activities by saying a bit about what he does outdoors. Unfortunately,my letter was not successful. Well, fear not, in a biography to be published soon and serialised in the Times, you can find out what he does in his spare time.
So, what do some of the world leaders do in their spare time? David Cameron plays tennis against a tennis machine named after Nick Clegg, the Deputy Prime Minister. Vladimir Putin goes horseriding, hunting, shooting and play ice hockey. Angela Merkel likeshill walking. She also likes swimming, but the press soon put a stop to that by printing photos of her in her swimming costume. Barak Obama likes to play basketball and play golf. Stephen Harper the Canadian Prime Minister likes ice hockey. Francois Hollande enjoys walking. Mario Monti the Italian leader likes cycling.
My hunt continues to find out what outdoor activties famous people do that make you think "I'd like to do that."
