What is Beanie Hat Day?

Wear a beanie hat on 1st Dec to show your support for the Active Outdoors campaign to inspire young people to get outdoors, take up an outdoor pursuit, and look after the environment.

On 1st Dec, the world will be celebrating Beanie Hat Day. Beanie Hat Day is the one day in the year to wear your beanie hat and inspire others to enjoy the great outdoors. Do something amazing. Do something crazy. Do something that makes you feel great.

But don't keep it to yourself. Post a photo or video of yourself having fun outdoors wearing a beanie hat on my ActiveOutdoors1325 Facebook page, or on any of your favourite online media websites, such as Twitter. If you post images of your outdoor fun on my Facebook Page, the photo or video with the most likes at 23:59 GMT on 1st December 2012 will win a pair of Aftershokz sports headphones, with runner up prizes of Ussen beanie hats.

The Beanie Hat Day Challenges

I challenge you to do any of the following Beanie Hat Day challenges:

1. Wear a beanie hat and do something outdoors that makes you smile - Things that make me smile include cycling, watching a sunset, flying my kite and climbing trees.
2. Wear a beanie hat and do something outdoors that makes you grin like a fool - For me, these include snowboarding, wakeboarding, and riding the swooping bottom section of the Whinlatter Forest North Loop on my mountain bike.
3. Wear a beanie hat and do something that makes someone else smile - This might include doing things with your friends, helping out in a community project, running an errand for a neighbour or someone in your family.
4. Wearing your beanie hat, make someone laugh - Have a laugh with your mates, or make a funny video and spread the fun.
