Stop the Arguing and Provide for the Inspired Youth

  News

The youth of today has been inspired. The next generation of athletes and adventurers are eager to go. But still, politics is getting in the way and those that have the power to make a huge difference are just arguing about what is not being done. Just get on with it!
The argument on Tuesday's BBC Newsnight was absolutely annoying. The panelists went on and on about how to inspire the next generation of athletes and couldn't come up with a solution that just gets on with providing you with the facilities you need.

It's not hard is it? All you need is for sport and recreation to be fun, accessible and affordable. That's it.

Stop the arguing about why it is elitist not to provide inner city youth with rowing. So what? Get on with providing recreational facilities and incentives to everyone in ways that you can achieve. Stop coming up with reasons why you can't do it.

There are plenty of volunteers that run youth clubs on a shoestring and are doing a fantastic job of it. The Government should be engaging with you.

I do hope someone gets the message. Write to David Cameron and tell him what you would like to see happen after the Olympics that will encourage you to Get Out More.
