Red Bull Flugtag London June 2008

The Red Bull Flugtag makes a welcome return to London’s Hyde Park on Saturday 7th June 2008 when 40 teams of fearless inventors will compete for the coveted winner’s prize by designing, constructing and flying their man-powered machines into The Serpentine lake.

Tickets for the crazy flying extravaganza are free but limited to 80,000 and demand is expected to be sky high. To avoid being a fool, anyone hoping for a ticket should register for the ballot at www.redbullflugtag.co.uk

For the lucky ticket holders, an exhilarating celebration of invention and down-right silliness will be on offer, as the home made flying machines are launched from a 20-foot ramp into the chilly waters below to compete for the coveted title of Red Bull Flugtag Champion 2008.

The competition will be judged on distance flown and level of creativity. Points will also be awarded for the entertainment value of the pre-flight performance. Originality will be key when trying to sway the votes of the both the celebrity judges and the crowd.
