Scuba Diving

Scuba diving has to be an un paralleled sport in the way that no other will take you into another world, like space adventurers we step through a curtain of un-known. All people have looked out over a body of water and most have probably wondered what lies beneath. With a little help from science and a few pioneers along the way we can now explore the oceans, lakes and rivers of the world.

The first amazing thing about Scuba diving is the tranquillity that you feel as you descend under the water, no mobile phones going off, no body nagging you. As you swim through an underwater world watching the aquatic life unfold it is hard to imagine anything quite as amazing as being a guest in this paradise.

Diving also has a lot of activities with in it. The same as the diversities of outdoor activities it is the same as in the underwater kingdom. On land you may go for a walk in the country side, underwater you will swim through a kelp forest and be able to move in 3-D! on land you may walk through an ancient castle, underwater you may swim around a wreck sunk at some point in history!

Man first ventured into the oceans since Neanderthal times but has been recorded using more than just breathe holding since the ancient Greek. One of the first and probably most well know pioneers of the diving we do today are Jacques Cousteau who travelled all over the globe researching and diving opening up the ocean to the world for the first time.

Diving as well as being a fun sport can go on to a career as an instructor working in locations across England to places such as South America, Asia and beyond. When your office is the ocean and your job is to explore the world’s reefs it life can be a lot more interesting than a normal 9 to 5 job.
