Adventure Holidays I visited the Dolomites last summer while on the most wonderful holiday at Lake Garda in Italy. If you love the Dolomites for winter snowsports, it is as stunning and as much fun in summer. A holiday in these mountains just two hours from Venice can be as active or as relaxing as you like, and with Venice on the doorstep there is the opportunity to combine city and mountains in one trip, not forgetting the delicious Italian food.

Adventure Holidays The sun was shining on our family Easter adventure holiday in the Lake District. Travelling up from London, we filled the week with our favourite outdoor activities, including Go Ape zip wires, boating on the Lakes, trail running, and charging down the red mountain bike trails in the forests.

There was something for everyone to do. Even the chance to read books, take some great photographs of the stunning scenery, eat fine food in the various pubs and tearooms, and successfully wear the dog out.
